The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum was a major adaptive reuse project transforming a circa 1920’s warehouse into a place that children of all ages can enjoy interactive exhibits that inspire creativity, cooperation, and learning.
The original building, gutted by fire years earlier, required complete architectural, structural, mechanical, and technical redesign. The unique and specialized design restored the building facades where possible and created an interior learning environment that supports the varied exhibits contained within.
